No, need to letting this Armor rest in a box with all the excitement with the new Kashyyyk armor. I started to paint again and hope the soft parts follow with the progress of the Sci-Fire armor.

Those that have this armor never forget it. Just paint it! ;)

The gap in the front chest plate is due to the to side pieces not butting up against each other..maybe snaps/velcro I

will need to add.

Thanks again for showing such detail in your progress. I really am a fan of this armor and love seeing fans like yourself putting their talents to work on something that will eventually pay you back 10 fold in enjoyment. Keep us posted as you go.

Wow Angelo it looks great so far. I do have some tboughts for you. you may want to trim down the return edge of the chest. That shoudl compensate some of the distance between the front and back plates. Also as odd as it sounds, it looks to clean. I would throw in some random scuffs and maybe even do a black wash. Give it some grime if you get what Im saying. Outside of that I can't wait to see it with the lid and jump suit. YOu may be one of the first to actually complete this suit right! I look forward to more!

Can't WAIT to see that sucker in the flesh next month! Definitely came a long way since in the box @ SWW :P

Awesome job chico!

Torment...we will discuss these things at Mega Con I agree with the to clean look...that is were I need your expertice..anyway Commander Gree w/ a Kashyyyk Scout...that sounds Awesome. I look forward to seeing JJ also!

oooo THE torment - hey man from a wannabe clone ;P

aside from return edges to the front and back pieces - how abt rare earth magnets to keep the 2 halves together as well?

looking good angelo. glad I could help in my own small way ;P

Wow, I'm not sure if I should be honored or worried that I am now a "the."

Either or the Magnet idea would work out if in fact Angelo was as thin as the costumes creator. NO offense to angelo on this one because Mike is supper skinny. If you want to close up the side gaps we are gonna have to build some shims for the sides and then we could use the magnets. Otherwise some elastic and some velcro will work out just fine for the time being.

rofl - I surf over on CT.net quite often Torment, so gotta respect the man whose building the clone army, 1 clone at a time!

angelo - yeah the bells do float a bit on the clone armour

I would be a smite careful with removing the return edge, as its nice to have that lip

darn mike and his skinniness ;P old world fix as already mentioned - shimmin could work too.

actually, nah the armour looks all wrong on u, send it to me and I'll see wot I can do mate :D

Bows in honor to fellow member. Thanks for the kudos. I have one more clone to finish then maybe an RC. I also want to do Walon Vau. The army is growing. I am just happy that I have a Barc now in the area. A few more wouldn't hurt.

count Tom in Alabama - he;s really going whole hog on the cossie

I'll be there eventually - but got loads of other clone goodies to do as well

I added some foam inside the shoulder bells...inexpensive and the bells stand up rather than sitting on my shoulder.

At the risk of being stupid and being told to go read some FAQ somewhere, what do earth magnets do and how are they used? I see reference to them all the time but have never seen anywhere (at least where I have looked) explaining what they are used for and how. Could someone educate me?

the only thing i see is the shoulder bell should sit on top of the shoulder more. great job though.

lol no probs man.

its wot cloners talk abt all the time

rare earth magnets - lots of pull in little magnets. cos of the seamles CGI look of the clone troopers, clone armour guys have had to do little tricks to get teh look. most often its used in lids, as clone lids all have lips on them, which would make it impossible to get ur head into one. so cut offs are done eg face-off, neck-seal off, and re-attached using magnets. the other thing is the fornt and back armour.

ANgelo - rght idea, but think Tom is right; armour should not only be lifted off shoulder, but follow the contour of the shoulder still. Torment - correct me f I am wrong.

I agree...I think the earth magnets would do the trick to keep the shoulder bell held up higher. The strap is preventing it from going any higher. Then again the shoulder bell may be a little big form my shoulder frame...So Tom when is that armor going to hit the Vacu-form table....so I can get some smaller shoulder bells for this small scout!
