Guest Ghost8886
No, need to letting this Armor rest in a box with all the excitement with the new Kashyyyk armor. I started to paint again and hope the soft parts follow with the progress of the Sci-Fire armor. Those that have this armor never forget it. Just paint it! That looks amazing! Keep up the great work. Lonescout
Here is a test fit....Here is my homey self...for some reason my pics won't come out straight! The gap in the front chest plate is due to the to side pieces not butting up against each other..maybe snaps/velcro I will need to add. Guest Torment
Wow Angelo it looks great so far. I do have some tboughts for you. you may want to trim down the return edge of the chest. That shoudl compensate some of the distance between the front and back plates. Also as odd as it sounds, it looks to clean. I would throw in some random scuffs and maybe even do a black wash. Give it some grime if you get what Im saying. Outside of that I can't wait to see it with the lid and jump suit. YOu may be one of the first to actually complete this suit right! I look forward to more!

Either or the Magnet idea would work out if in fact Angelo was as thin as the costumes creator. NO offense to angelo on this one because Mike is supper skinny. If you want to close up the side gaps we are gonna have to build some shims for the sides and then we could use the magnets. Otherwise some elastic and some velcro will work out just fine for the time being.

Lonescout
I added some foam inside the shoulder bells...inexpensive and the bells stand up rather than sitting on my shoulder.

Witness
At the risk of being stupid and being told to go read some FAQ somewhere, what do earth magnets do and how are they used? I see reference to them all the time but have never seen anywhere (at least where I have looked) explaining what they are used for and how. Could someone educate me? mrbungle
the only thing i see is the shoulder bell should sit on top of the shoulder more. great job though.

I see reference to them all the time but have never seen anywhere (at least where I have looked) explaining what they are used for and how. Could someone educate me? lol no probs man. its wot cloners talk abt all the time rare earth magnets - lots of pull in little magnets. cos of the seamles CGI look of the clone troopers, clone armour guys have had to do little tricks to get teh look. most often its used in lids, as clone lids all have lips on them, which would make it impossible to get ur head into one. so cut offs are done eg face-off, neck-seal off, and re-attached using magnets. the other thing is the fornt and back armour. ANgelo - rght idea, but think Tom is right; armour should not only be lifted off shoulder, but follow the contour of the shoulder still. Torment - correct me f I am wrong. Lonescout
I agree...I think the earth magnets would do the trick to keep the shoulder bell held up higher. The strap is preventing it from going any higher. Then again the shoulder bell may be a little big form my shoulder frame...So Tom when is that armor going to hit the Vacu-form table....so I can get some smaller shoulder bells for this small scout!
