Guest MandoMan Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 That's looking cool. After looking at screen captures more closely, I'm surprised that the BARC armor looks simpler than Imperial scout armor. Having a clone costume would be cool, but having a comfortable clone costume is cooler!
Dreadmel Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Don't flex the guns man, you might make the armor pop off
Army Scout Posted June 23, 2006 Author Posted June 23, 2006 Damn skippy bookman!!! I might have to start selling tickets to the GUN SHOW!!!! Don't flex the guns man, you might make the armor pop off
Army Scout Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 OK finished the bicep piece!! I think she came out great... Due to my MASSIVE guns, my daughter modeled it for us I also want to show off the half tube piece for the right bicep. I will be making these out of resin. (Still a work in progress) I will be casting all the parts and make the final piece this weekend. Army Scout
BrotherHalo Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Nice work, AS! My only critique is the following, as seen in the picture: From the light and shadows, it looks like the larger portion of the tube is both on top and bottom of the cylinder, instead of just on top as you have in your design.

I know I need to cast the one so I have 2 the same Standby for more images...
Army Scout Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 I was looking at the ref image and mine looked to big. So I did a little measuring and found out I could chop off some. I have made the mods and I think they look better now. ARmy Scout
pghfett Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Yes, It appears the bicept raised portion is both top and bottom sorta like the two grey pieces penetrate top and bottom. Get me? And the grey area seems to consist of two separate parts as well. Very nice so far !!!

Ghst915 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Id say that they do that also and are flat bars that are held in place by the rasied areas, heres a picture link of it up close. BARC Trooper Bicep I just really zoomed in on that part again and seen that the bottom opening is bigger then the top opening also. Try this drawing to see if this helps out. This is what i see on there. Drawing
Army Scout Posted June 30, 2006 Author Posted June 30, 2006 the links don't work for me ? I do believe that is a shadow that makes it look like 2 flat panels.
Army Scout Posted July 2, 2006 Author Posted July 2, 2006 OK all done.... I think it will look ok once I pull a couple pieces.
Ghst915 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I do believe that is a shadow that makes it look like 2 flat panels. It looks like to flat bars like capt. bars and if its round why would both sides show light with a shadow mark in the middle if its one piece. If its one piece then there should a shadow on one side with a dark aside and light side. I still say these are flat like capt. bars, and do not stand out as much. More flat then sticking out. The work your doing is awsome dude, but I think you should redo just the bars again to took another look at them. But dont destroy what you have now, just try it to see.
TB0438 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Looking good Army, Got something for you all though. :-) Utapau Airborne trooper has what appears to be "nearly" the same left bicep detail as the Barc. Yes, yes, it's not exactly the same, the strips across the armor piece are smaller, there are parts protruding from the detail bit ect... Thought it was interesting, this is the first clone I've seen that has nearly the same bicep armor. and http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/explor...ap20051223.html Rob The top picture is from the 501st forums, a new recruit was saying hi.
Ghst915 Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 ArmyScout I looked at the armor you did and then looked again at the screen shots. The angles look sharpe they should flow more smoothly with more curves. I still think that the left part, the so called BARS on the armor still look flat to me and more set back in. Not so rasied out from the armor.
