Falcon-One Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Hello all. This section has been quiet for a while, but I myself have not given up my quest for a B.A.R.C Trooper outfit. I have started slow, but I'm working on it. I have my helmet, the thin one (see helmet help) and now am on the quest for the undersuit. I have found a company that may have the right design for the undersuit, Tell me what you think, And yes I will have to darken it.

Denman I really like that You're right about darken it down maybe with some gray so the camo just shows through. I 'm in the same boat as you, I may have an helmet on it's way to me but I really don't know what I'm going to do about the body armour. As anyone any news about other suppliers yet?
Falcon-One Posted October 10, 2008 Author Posted October 10, 2008 O.K. been doing some more research on the web and found this. Tell me what you think
Falcon-One Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 O.K. I have been quiet for a while now about the under suit, however I think I have found a new fabric that just might work. It is 3 tone black camo patren and I dyed it brown. Tell me what you all think.
mrbungle Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 one of the left ain't bad. i would like to see a square foot of it.
Falcon-One Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 Me too, but all I could get was this swatch.
Peaches_DC Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 For camo patterns like that... just visit your local military surplus store. They should have every patter your heart desires. It would be a good idea to see if you can find one that suits this costume. Personally (and I don't have much experience with the BARC/KS) I think that gray/black 3 color looks great after you dyed it brown. It wouldn't be terribly hard to dye an entire shirt or pant. You may be onto something there!

mrbungle Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 don't wait for that. if it looks right to you, move forward. if i waited on that kind of stuff i would still be at the begining of my KS project. you can always upgrade to a better pattern later.
Holdfast Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I found that British desert cam, dyed with a grey did the trick for me. Sorry, no pics. Hey Mr Bungle, looking forward to your kit coming out!
