I'm not a big fan of the BARC trooper, but I recognize quality work when I see it.

Good work, and the tutorial is nice. Even if you aren't planning to make the helmet, it's neat to watch it's evolution.

Like Snub, I'm not on the BARC bandwagon, but one doesn't have to be to appreciate quality craftsmanship. Outstanding work, pghfett! You might convert me yet. ;)

When I get time I'm gonna work up a white version as seen in the posted area showing the white BARC helmet. I promise to make it white and shiny and altered to match the concept art work that shows TM and the other clone helmets.

This one to be exact... :) would you be game for this version, it wouldn't be hard to convert one of my helmets

If I ever did a BARC, it would be a white one. But, I'm working on a clone commander now, and my next project after that will be Darth Revan.

You know what I discovered,

Alot of people are not attracted to the BARC

I always liked the biker scouts but never got around to building the costume, then when the BARC's came along, I knew right then I wanted to build a BARC.

Something about the scouts that is really appealing, and by that I mean both BS and BARC.

Aside from Fett, it's BS and BARC's for me. :D

Then again, a Darth .....

ahh it never ends ... :D

I think once we get a completed suit done, that will change!!!

We are working on a trooper that had a very brief time on camera.

I just received my full scale 6' armature/mannequin and inbetween going blind on rudolphs camo job and pouring resin, I am going to sculpt right on top of the armature so I get the proper scale to all the armor. This will be FG armor, and my first attack will be the chest plate - an accurate one. ;)

The Legion's first BARC? Bah! Not to knock what the guy did, but the stuff we're researching here is gonna knock some socks off!

GREAT tutorial! Exceptional work.

When applying the camo, are you applying the paint right out of the bottle or

are you diluting it like you would for an airbrush?

Right out of the bottle using a #1 red sable brush and a 5/0 sable

I put a ton of work into the helmets visor. Prep work prior to painting is everything.

A friend suggested making frisket templates, I said "your nuts" for this type of camo job it has to be hand painted, plus it is kinda of the artists signiture, no helmet will be the same. Just like in the real world face painting and camo painting refelects the personality of the individual.

I don't mind painting camo but you may consider painting your own patteren because it will have to match the rest of your armor as well.

A little late on this, but PGHFett, that helmet is absolutly stunning. Great work!

I also have a quick side question. Someday I WILL put together some kind of biker or BARC. My question is would an all white BARC be accepted in the Pathfinders and 501st? I like the white and black of the biker, but I like the overall look of the BARC suit. Plus I admit I have clone fever (reason I'm diving into a Galactic Marine now). :D

How is the spacing inside the helmet in regards to is there space for someone that wears glasses? I can't wear my contacts for long periods of time so I was wondering if there was any more room compared to the scout helmet? Make any sense, the kids are driving me nuts right now :P:rolleyes::P:rolleyes:

I wear glasses myself, and can wear them in the helmet no problem.
