pghfett Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 The green ink wash really sets it off. Tint is on the way as well, ~Mike
vader674 Posted March 8, 2008 Author Posted March 8, 2008 Thanks everyone! The wash is the trick to make the helmet pop!
DaVe Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 The green ink wash really sets it off. ~Mike Any suggestions for what to use if you can't find any Citadel - light green Ink per the helmet tutorial? I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions about how to make up an ink wash.
vader674 Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 I found the citadel paint, but not the ink, so for the wash i used Golden(brand) transparent light green air brush paint and a damp rag. took a few tries to get it right, but the final product worked out great! Plus it cleans up with water. I got the airbrush ink at an art supply store.
Guest MandalorianWarrior87 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Paint job complete!!! Now I have to finish the inside...lol...foam, amp Speakers, fans, ect ect ect...lol Looks amazing!
pghfett Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Goto Iron wind metals web site (miniatures website for war games) They took over Citadel paints and inks - you can buy buckets from them directly via the phone or email - I got like 10 containers the other day. Their website shows only ink kits, but if you call, you can get single pots of it. I told them a few others may be calling and she promised to hook you up. Iron wind metals -

vader674 Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 Thanks. Was it easy to bend? not bad, a little heat then set about 15 lbs of books on top of it. it slowly went flat. easy to heat it to much but you can get two lens's out of one visor.
