ZanderCage Posted Wednesday at 03:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:53 PM So i see alot of Scouts kneeling down and i was wondering if there are any safe ways to do it? My biggest fear is breaking or cracking my knee armor. Quote
Chopper Posted Wednesday at 04:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:08 PM Catchers kneel. Otherwise I try not to put any weight on the plastic for the same reasons you stated. 2 1 Quote
Dart Posted Wednesday at 04:56 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:56 PM I've added some foam knee pad inserts on the inside of my knee armour. Still have to be a bit careful when kneeling but it takes the sting out of it. To avoid the cracking or excessive damage, if you're kneeling, just do it in one spot and don't pivot around/grinding the armour. Don't kneel on gravel or anything pointy. Carpet is ok, smooth paved surfaces probably ok. *Edit* Also, don't put all your weight on that knee. That is another way to really put extra stress on that part and start it cracking. 3 Quote

Tarok Posted yesterday at 01:33 AM Posted yesterday at 01:33 AM I wear an Imperial Remnant Scout so it’s a bit easier. The knees tend to sit a bit higher - see first image. The 2nd image features myself and a ROTJ Scout (Drew) - see the differences in how the knees sit when kneeling? Drew is pretty much putting height on his knee armour, whereas mine rides up a bit.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Retrofire Posted yesterday at 04:50 PM Posted yesterday at 04:50 PM With ABS knees I don't have many issues kneeling but Dart is right that without cushioning it gets a little painful. I haven't had any issues with cracking but a lot of dings and scratches on my knees. I would agree with most folks that a "catcher" squat is the best way to lower yourself without damaging you or your armor. I typically like to do that for the "littles" so they can engage better and see that I'm here to make them happy. 1 Quote
