So is the riot baton an absolute requirement to get approved with a JFO scout? That thing will be a absolutely massive print to complete lol

Another question for anyone can answer very unrelated to the original , what do you all use for your harness?

Then baton is a substantial print but not any more than an blaster.

I used nylon webbing and vinyl with some padding to make the harness.ots mostly nylon webbing.

Ditto on the harness for me.  I followed MrPoopies build.  @jennyruth had a pattern that I used.

As for the baton, the bulk of it is pvc pipe.  It’s just the grip, tip, end pieces and greeblies that you need to print.  I found it way easier to print than a blaster and using less material too.

Here are the files I sent @Aradun along with my explanation of how I made them. I think he changed his a bit. If this is helpful, great! It's been a while since I made them, but one of us can probably answer questions.

"Ok, I’m not sure if that will work as a jpg or not, but I tried to trace and scan the pattern I used. The one with the notches is 10.5” x 4”. I cut out three that size. On one, I carefully cut out the open squares. Then I used some temporary spray glue to glue  two pieces together, back to front sides. Then, I sewed that “top piece” to the bottom piece (front sides together) but left a tiny opening in which I could stick the foam in. After I turned it inside out, I stuck the piece of foam (sized like the smaller blank image) into the hole and positioned it as best I could. Then I folded that little opening sides in, clipped them with a sewing clip thing (instead of using pins). (Are they called wonder clips, maybe?) Then I sewed about a 1/8-1/4 seam all around the outside."
