Bolt Posted Tuesday at 07:17 AM Posted Tuesday at 07:17 AM Hello there! I am CB-33827 "Bolt" from the Redback Garrison, Queensland Australia. https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=16603&costumeID=36 After some prompting from BikerScout007 I would like to apply for Level 2. I have used the CRL as a reference but I mainly sourced screenshots and official lucasfilm renders from Revenge of the Sith. - Armour kit: BikerChick - Boots: Crow Boots - Gloves: WampaWear - Undersuit: Modified and dyed Army Surplus "British Desert DPM" camo trousers and shirt - Cummerbund: Custom made by my amazing wife - Pouches: Scratch made from foam and covered with fabric - Bicep & Shin greebles were 3d printed. - DC-15a & DC-15s: Woodchuck I have yet to take pictures of my individual armour parts, but I will post them here as soon as I take them. I just thought I would get the thread going! This is my full kit: Front - Left Side - Back - Right Side - Discrepancies with the CRL: I did make a few discoveries that varied with the CRL, this caused my approval to be a little difficult to put it lightly... I thought I would post them here for you guys as they may not be acceptable for level 2. -Chest: The CRL states that the chest and back join flush at the sides. From my research I think they do not actually meet, but there is a gap between them and that they are connected by a clip. This is a screen shot from ROTS, it may be hard to see, but the edge of the chest is noticable and you can see the cummerbund past where it ends: This is a scan from the Star Wars Chronicles Prequel Trilogy book. I noticed two tabs either side of the chest. These tabs can also be seen in the "Helmets Collection" magazine which has renders from the film Star Wars Battlefront 2 (Despite having some difference to the movie version) shows these clips a little more clearly. It is difficult to tell what colour exactly the strap and tab were, so I matched the grey colour used for the straps and tab on the Attakus 1:10th scale Kashyyyk trooper. (I can take pictures of the statue if needed). -Bicep Greeble: I also noticed a second greeble on the inside of the left Bicep which isn't mentioned by the CRL. So I designed and 3d printed one for my kit: - Cummerbund: I also had a few issues getting my cummerbund approved as my straps were slighty larger than what was stated on the CRL (at the time) and I added ribbing details which also are not in the CRL. This was my research: In this image from "The Helmets Collection" magazine (also seen in the SW Chronicles book) you can see ribbing between the straps and on the main belt. I used this as a reference when I made my cummerbund. I also made the straps slightly larger so that I had the same number of straps across the front of my body as the movie troopers (I am wider than the CGI clone troopers). And so I added the details to mine: (Colour is off in this picture, I will upload better ones when I get a chance). Those are the issues that are know to me, I thought I would highlight them for you guys so that I can be completely transparent. As I stated earlier, I will be taking picures of all my parts on the weekend and will post them asap. Thank you all for your time and consideration. - Bolt 1
