DaVe
DaVe - USPS Priority mail VF 281 034 000 US Mike, I received my armor today... IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!! Thank you soooo much for all your hard work. I've discovered that I am going to have to do a couple small mod's on the chest and back plates. Apparently, I am alittle larger than your model was. I don't think it'll be a problem to develop a shim for the sides. BTW, this was my Birthday gift to myself this past year. BEST GIFT I GOT!!!! I love it! Thanks Mike... pghfett
I spoke with Armyscout, our beloved seamtress Denise and her hubby Ross this afternoon and I've decided since the initial run went well I will be opening up the list again here shortly for the upper armor and parts set as listed above, plus the extras. I can always count on these folks to pump me up So if anyone is interested, just keep an eye out on this thread as I will do the armor on a set by set basis, no long run lists and such, but something more casual that fits my schedule more like a one by one kinda thing this way I have alot more control over what goes out the door and a closer relationship with the fan I'm making them for. On an added note - Ross and Denise have alot of new material on the soft stuff so be on the look out for more spectacular things to come on this front as well, which I'm very fired up about. BTY the cod and shins are ready for final molding as well as the small BARC belt - which will be made of the same rubber and backed with material. I'm going to try and make the shins out of rubber making them one piece, as well as the toe armor as well. I'll post progress pics on this once the final mold is done and I move forward. Thanks everyone, and I'm always here if you need help with anything - old school style of costuming ~Mike

TB-7076
I'm also quite fond of this new development as I was already about to abandon the barc and GM project altogether. This gives me new hope to obtain first class from a first class
Darksaber212
Mike, I am also glad to hear you will be making more armor for fellow troopers. I had missed the run in the begging and was bummed about not getting a chance to get a set of BARC armor. I will be keeping my eye peeled. So looking forward to this! You da man Mike! Ladyghost4459
Thanks Mike for the "beloved" part. Good work appreciates acknowledgement and speaking to you yesterday lit a new fire on my ovens too. That is one of the things about this hobby that I love. That there are so many talents out there and touching base here with each other to share our skills and talents. Good people here who for the most part just try to love the hobby not make a mint. You are the real deal Mike and your work speaks for itself. Thanks for the specs and the friendly conversation, one hobbist to the other. I only wish I had your resources to do the kind of things you do. I know you are a garage /cottage artist like myself and supplies and equipment are as we can get them or make do with what we have. The talent is in making it work.

blkwolf
BARC Upper Armor thread, For the folks who have any interest in doing a 501st BARC, I have started this interest thread for those who have asked about my BARC armor parts. I will be sending out a “canned” PM to the folks listed below, in order who are interested, with complete details of what is required and what is needed. The folks who have agreed to the “canned” PM will be given priority on the lower armor pieces once completed (cod/shins/ knees are already done). This way, folks who asked, can get a jump start on their armor parts… If you prefer to wait to show interest in the full set, that fine as well, I just decided to offer the upper parts as a kit so we can all have something to work on through the winter months and some folks asked. Just to clarify, the PM will reflect the below listed Upper Armor parts include; (1) Chest plate (2) Rear back plate (3) Two shoulder bells (4) Left and right Bicept armor (5) Left and right elbow guards (6) Resin greeblie plate for back plate (7) Rubber shoulder straps (8) Rubber bicept strap and resin bicept greeblies (9) Rubber straps and black elastic strips for both elbow pieces. (10) Knee armor is now included Special added - small rubber greeblies in addition to the resin ones - for a nice choice. All parts are gel coated FG reinforced pieces. 1. Dave - shipped see post #76 2. MJohn20380 - shipped see post #76 3. Acrylikhan - shipped see post #76 4. Azerin - shipped see post #76 5. Special auction winner - shipped see post #82 6. Rudolph - full build in progress ----------------------------------------------------- If possible and if youll have me I am very interested in your armor As I said before I will only buy from you.
