Fulcrum0025 Posted Monday at 03:29 AM Posted Monday at 03:29 AM I'm sanding and painting the Surfingbird DLT-19x while my armor is in painting progress in my friend's workshop. And I find it quite frustrating that the inner lines in the scope looks terrible. And it is hard for me to trim without doing damage. Could u guys please show me your scopes so I know how much I need to trim it?

Aradun Posted Tuesday at 07:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:54 PM It’s been several years since I did mine, but I just gave the inner lens area a light sanding to remove the burrs, and then primed and painted it. I then inserted a red translucent acrylic lens which obscured any rough or unsightly areas.Same for the back end of the scope. If you’re not planning on putting a lens in then reprinting with a light curing method as you described would be the way to go.
Chopper Posted Tuesday at 08:02 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:02 PM The scope on the DLT is meant to be modeled on the singlepoint scope, which was also used on the holdout blaster. The inner lines aren't from print stepping, they're supposed to be there: 1
Fulcrum0025 Posted Wednesday at 06:43 AM Author Posted Wednesday at 06:43 AM Thanks guys. I'm starting to print again using light curing. And I'm starting to paint. (sneaking to spray the putty on the roof of my college building XD) Don't kill me, professor.
