Micahman6525 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hey there, wanted to run by an idea I had. So, I am slowly but surely completing my ROTJ Scout costume. I have a basic 3d printed EC17, but I also got the Nerf version just because I think it's fun. The idea was to try to mitigate the need to buy two boots + holsters to fit either of them, depending on the event type (Since the handle is much more prominent on the Nerf blaster). Is it possible/ secure to attach the holster to the boot via a large sheet of industrial velcro? Do you think if it could work, it would affect basic approval? Thanks!
Chopper Posted February 28 Posted February 28 The CRL says: Holster Gloss white or semi-gloss and may be lightly weathered. Attached to the outside of the right boot with 1/8th (3mm) silver-colored rivets. The blaster pistol fits into the holster. The holster must be attached to the outside of the right boot with 1/8th (3mm) silver-colored rivets for basic clearance. Attaching via velcro is not acceptable. 2
Dart Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Also, just from a practical perspective, velcro really wouldn't be enough to hold the weight of the holster and blaster and not fall off with the flexing of the boot material when walking around.
