About the codpiece

I'm wondering how it is attached to the cummerbund and the other clothes from the front... And I've failed to find it in crl...

 

Could u guys please show me some photos?

It says the codpiece can be attached to the cummerbund but not sewn to the bottom.

I'm really interested in how you put it in place.

Mine is sewn to the bottom edge of my vest.  This is how it was done for the scouts in ROTJ

I think most people put a piece of velcro on the back of the codpiece, and then a matching piece on their flight suit and attach it to the flight suit

When we say "Codpiece is NOT sewn to the bottom edge of the cummerbund" this is to dissuade a practice that was common over a decade ago before we had more information about the soft goods.   A lot of codpieces back then were just these tiny little triangles that were sewn along the bottom edge of the cummerbund.

It wasnt until later on when we learned the codpieces were distinct from the cummerbund and actually attached behind it.  

But at the end of the day, how it's connected doesn't matter, because we can't see the connection.

I have my cod attached via Velcro to the bottom of my flak vest.



In the photo below, you’re looking at the front of the cod. The stitching at the top is the Velcro that attached to the flak vest. The Velcro patches that are visible mid cod are to secure my belt in place.

I have my cod velcroed to my flightsuit and the end of the strap has velcro on both sides and it is attached to the Cummerbund where the two sides meets. Sorry if that's a bad explanation lol it's late.
