Very new to this. I want to buy what I need from someone legit who has everything up to 501 standards.  I so far have only found two.  Are there any other sellers who have everything up to 501 standards?  Thank You

Moved to the appropriate forum

The Kashyyyk Armorer, @Jakeputt can help guide you through your build.

We have a list of approved Kashy vendors here

As you can see, there aren't many choices.  But the ones available are very good!

Thank you.  I saw those. Was just hoping someone knew of others.

If we did, believe me we wouldn't keep them a secret!

Unfortunately the Kashy is not one of the more popular costumes in the Legion, so there aren't many prop makers offering them.  They want to make money after all!

BikerChick has pretty much been the sole supplier of Kashy kits for the past several years.  ChristhePropGuy has just started offering his kits last year.  And fortunately CrowProps has stepped in to offer soft goods.  So now there are more choices than there has ever been.  It's the best time to be a Kashy!

Hey there, welcome to the forums! Thanks for the heads up Mickey, we do have a couple of options for approvable 501st armor. If your savvy with 3D printing you can get the files either from Galactic Armory or Christhepropguy. If you want to buy a kit, you can still buy the kit from Chris or you can also do a search for Kashyyyk armor for sale from Biker Chick. If you do 3d print the armor you can obtain the extra strapping for the pieces from either Chris or Bikerchick. Hopefully this helps you get started with your kit.
Feel free to send any other questions you have.

Chris is off for two weeks. But I will stay in touch with him. I messaged Bikerchick today to learn more.  I need to buy it all from one of them.  All the soft stuff and accessories looks like a hunt but I will work on that.  The BritishArmy Desert DPM (95 pattern) Shirt and pants looks different on sites from what you guys have as approved for the photo.  Do you have any suggestions on where to get that?

These are what you are looking for, you will be removing the pockets from the blouse and pants sew up a pouch on the front of the thigh, remove the buttons on the blouse and create a mandarin collar for it and dye them both with Dark Brown and black dye then sew a patch between the legs.
The biggest difficulty with the undersuite is trying to get the top and bottom the same color. (Mine isnt) the best way to do this is by finding 100% cotton tops and bottoms (mine are not which is why my tops and bottoms aren't the same color)

I’m confused about the mandarin part, the pouch on the front of the thigh and the patch on the thighs.  Also is there a specific ratio of dye ?  How do I make sure I get the color perfect to 501 specs?  Is there a video out there on this part?

It can be confusing if you're new to all of this. That's ok, I was new to it all once as well. The way you're going to create the Mandarin collar is by taking one of the pouches you took off of the top or bottom and create a square end with it you affix a piece of velcro to both the flap you created and onto the opposite collar end so that you can close it. Likewise with the thigh pouch. You take one of the pouches you removed from the suit, and you create a box to the specifications on the crl and sew it back onto the front of the thigh in the location indicated in the picture. Then, you will find some oatmeal colored suede or feux suede and cut it to the shape you need and sew it between the legs. With the dye, you want to buy rit brand dye, you can find it at Walmart or Joannes. It gives instruction on the bottle of how to use it. The less time you have the fabric in the dye, the darker it will get. You don't want to sew on the suede until after you've dyed the top and bottom.

I didn't know how to do any of it either until I created my own kit. The learning process is the fun part.

That's one of the rough things about the kit, finding the right tops and bottoms. You just gotta keep looking. I can't remember where I got mine from 6 years ago.

Who is a good POC for approvals on these?  I found a pair of pants on eBay I want to make sure they are good.

You're talking to him already.  @Jakeputtis our Kashy Costume Advisor

but ultimately approval is up to the GML of your Garrison.
