Blastermaster Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Hello, I’ve been attempting to find this information with searches on tap talk and not coming to a definitive answer. I see some early posts from 2014-2019 where members are talking about the EFX helmets but looking at the approved vendors lists for helmets for an ROTJ bucket I didn’t see EFX listed. Understood that the helmet is heavier than ABS so less people are using them to troop and the cost associated with them might be an issue, do these EFX helmets fall into any issues with the CRL for being too disproportionate in size and shape? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted February 1 Posted February 1 The EFX helmet is approvable. For the Mando scout they used the EFX helmet on screen, so it's the most accurate for that particular costume. Most people don't tend to wear it due to limited availability and the fact that it's made of fiberglass and therefore heavier than the ABS helmets out there. It's also somewhat of a collectors item, so it seems to fetch a decent price on the secondary market. 2

An oversight. When the Vendor list first went up, there had been so many horror stories about long wait times for the EFX helmet, so we didn't list it. No one had actually been approved in one at that point because no one had been able to acquire one! Since they now seem to be in circulation, I have added it. 2
Blastermaster Posted February 1 Author Posted February 1 Thanks for help clearing this up. I did a lot of searching here and on the web in general. Here’s what AI overview says it. Glad I went ahead and reached out.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Yeah, keep in mind that that AI generated answers are not necessarily going to be accurate. Certainly not to the level of nuance that comes with some aspects of CRL interpretation. Glad you reached out. 2
BikerScout007 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 That sounds more like a description of the WTF v1 helmet I guess Skynet is not quite ready to wipe us all out yet 4 1
Dart Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Another thing about the EFX bucket (other than I *still* haven't received mine, smh...) is that it seems small. And definitely not easy to put on due to the rigidity of the helmet. If you already have one (lucky you), and it fits, go for it. Otherwise, there's many other helmets out there that are better. 1

Yes this is true. I was able to "try" one on at the EFX booth a few years back and could not get it over my head, due to the fiberglass build of the helmet 1
Blastermaster Posted February 6 Author Posted February 6 Happy to report that though a tighter squeeze at those two lower points at the face opening, that with a balaclava on, I was able to slip on in!Couple of follow ups for the experts here: the lens feels like it may not be dark (tinted) enough, is it expected that someone who employs this to add some window tint on the inside to darken it some more?Secondly, the helmet has fabric in the ear canal, is that something that needs to be removed? Thanks again for all the replies!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BikerScout007 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 The answers are all found in the CRL Lens is black in color and obscures wearer's eyes. Earholes are cut out -- mesh or paint is not acceptable: Area behind earholes inside the helmet is blacked out, either with paint or tape. No interior white should show from the outside of the helmet when worn. 1
