Looking to repurpose my scouts to Mando for various reasons ,located decent flight suit and neck Seal and will sort paints out at some point and will use the crl and wipe to sort the new weathering .

To avoid too much trouble and as im not sure I thought I would ask you fine folks on the best methods(s) to wipe the rattle can misted weathering how I have to be able to then redo it.

Looking to redo helmet armour and boots.

Given it was black misted I would say it would be best to clear and then restart not go over what I have now yeah?

If you used standard hardware store spray paints, then that weathering is not coming off. Acetone and other chemical based paint removers will take it off, but will also melt the armor. Don't do it.

You can try wiping it with 90% iso alcohol, but that will depend on how heavy the weathering is.

if your weathering is on the heavier side, your only other option is to wet sand the armor with 600+ grit sandpaper, prime and repaint the armor in white, and then once dried, start applying the mando scout weathering techniques.

Looking back into this so any blaster scorching etc would have to be removed first then the desert weathering added rather than go over the top?

Found some IPA wipes and tried them on a bit of the helmet that had the rattle can acrylic weathering and it’s been able to remove it with no damage to the white underneath.

Plan now is clean all the amour with IPA then if I have to repaint the boots or at worse get a new set which tbh I was thinking about anyway

bund has none of it so can just dye that and as luck would have it we don’t have a shortage of teabags in the UK. Who knew lol

swmbo even has some earl grey bags.

So I might be able to pull this off with out a huge expense as the paint for the mando weathering isn’t expensive and is way to get
