ollyhills Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 So is there a definitive, modern day 21st century white paint that’s become the go to for scout helmets? Is there a source for some good 1980s Ferrari white that people have been using? Or a perfectly matched modern alternative? What do we think is the ultimate choice when painting a biker scout lid…
Chopper Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 The shade is what was described as "Ferrari White" in the Star Wars Costumes book. Most of the time we recommend what's called "Appliance White" for the helmet color. Someone posted this chart a few years back though, disclaimer, I haven't seen the listed color in person. It might be worth seeing if you can get a sample of the color code at Halfords. 1
ollyhills Posted July 6, 2024 Author Posted July 6, 2024 Maybe it’s just me but the image isn’t loading? I didn’t wanna be too hasty and go ahead with the appliance white. I guess it’s not gonna be as white as pure brilliant white, but the Ferrari white seems to have a super slight creaminess?
Chopper Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Guess the board didnt like a png file. Edited my original post with a jpg.
