Issues with Keep Trooping/Imperial Boots/RS Props Pouches

Hi guys,

 

A future member has received these pouches from RS Prop Masters and I have several doubts about the color as CRL says “white fabric and may be lightly weathered”, from my POV are quite dark, more than just a light weathering.

 

What do you think? Would you say they are ok for approval?

RS outsources their soft goods from Imperial Boots/Keep Trooping, so this would be a question for anyone ordering from that site.

As an armorer, I can tell you that those pouches look pretty dark and I'm disinclined to sign off of them. If you don't mind, could you take a photo with outdoor lighting?

Yeah I have to agree those look WAY took dark.  I have always had my doubts about the intensity of the off-white pouch color, as most of the evidence for it seems to derive from pictures of the Scout costume taken several years after the production (like the MOTM Scout)

Those pouches are tan. At dirtiest, they should be off-white, even if tea-stained. Darker than white, not a different colour.

Thank you for the additional photo, unfortunately those pouches would not be approvable. The CRL says "white or off white" and those are yellow/light brown.

Just recently purchased an rs full commission with the soft goods myself. Do we know if this issue with the pouches is still happening? Just asking so I can start looking at a replacement if needed.

For the most up to date info you could ask RS directly to see what their current pouches look like.

For anyone reading this post in the future YES they are still giving out the Cummerbunds with these colored pouches. Just received my order today and they look like this.
