KOtrooper Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Yes, that's the area. It is wise to hold off and finish the weathering all of the armor at once for consistently. Nice work!Sent from my Pixel 7a using Tapatalk 2

FogOut Posted August 1, 2024 Author Posted August 1, 2024 Seems the resin parts react with Tamiya paint now. I ve washed and leave it dry for a whole day. On applying tamiya paint direct from a spray can, the paint reacted on the flat surface. Will wet sand and try again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don't be afraid to use sand paper to bring out the base and primer layers. That helps with weathering too. The top coat will protect it. I also did two different wash coats on top of the top coat. They will wear off and smear over time but it will add to the aging effect without messing up the base coat. Love the work you've put in. 1
FogOut Posted November 12, 2024 Author Posted November 12, 2024 Belt next. Due to daily thunderstorms lately I can’t paint. So I decided to sand the resin parts. Realized I don’t need every block in the kit set. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FogOut Posted November 12, 2024 Author Posted November 12, 2024 Got a bid of a break between the storm. As there was sun for at least 5-6hrs. Didn’t spray primer from a can outside as I assume there’s still much moisture in the air. Prime from an airbrush indoorSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
welshchris77 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Can I ask, what material is the helmet made from?

After my first round of weathering was advised by Mel, one of the vanguards, to really go after the weathering. Mine still isn't as dirty as some of the others. Nice job. Keep it up! 1

It’s heavy and it was a chore to cut. I gave up on my mini hand saw, brought it to a friends workshop he got it done with dremel. But the dust was all over the place @locoOttomobile which type of ST are you? R1?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
