Yes, that's the area.

It is wise to hold off and finish the weathering all of the armor at once for consistently. Nice work!

Seems the resin parts react with Tamiya paint now. I ve washed and leave it dry for a whole day. On applying tamiya paint direct from a spray can, the paint reacted on the flat surface. eb2b019ba7d7e802146830c4baf631a8.jpg

Will wet sand and try again.

Final piece the lens..
then I realized, I can’t see anything thru the lens.

Will have to get replacement lens sheet.

I think it’s looking ok.

Its looking good! The ABS is black. Don't be afraid to use sand paper to bring out the base and primer layers. That helps with weathering too. The top coat will protect it. I also did two different wash coats on top of the top coat. They will wear off and smear over time but it will add to the aging effect without messing up the base coat.  Love the work you've put in.

Belt next.
Due to daily thunderstorms lately I can’t paint. So I decided to sand the resin parts. Realized I don’t need every block in the kit set.

Got a bid of a break between the storm. As there was sun for at least 5-6hrs.

Didn’t spray primer from a can outside as I assume there’s still much moisture in the air.

Can I ask, what material is the helmet made from?

Should be resin

Looking really good! After my first round of weathering was advised by Mel, one of the vanguards, to really go after the weathering. Mine still isn't as dirty as some of the others.

Nice job. Keep it up!

You have the imperial surplus helmet right? That's molded abs plastic. Heavy, but very strong.

Yes it’s the IS helmet. It’s heavy and it was a chore to cut. I gave up on my mini hand saw, brought it to a friends workshop he got it done with dremel. But the dust was all over the place

@locoOttomobile which type of ST are you? R1?
