Cummerbund still approveable?

I have made a few posts previously talking about how I am working towards approval as I am working with pre owned parts. The part in question this time is the cummerbund. The one I have on hand has the codpiece attached to the cummerbund making it all one piece. Is this approvable or do I need to get a new set?

Yes its approvable.

Gree is correct. What you currently have is fine for basic approval, but keep in mind that if your goal is to eventually go for Level 2 Lancer then the cod cannot be sewn to the bottom of the bund and will need to be fixed down the line.

Here the link to the CRL for the ROTJ Scout. If you don’t have a copy, I recommend that you print it out and keep it handy while you work on your kit.

It’s a great reference guide and takes out the guesswork. Of course the armory team is always here if you have a question or need clarification.

Thank you! I figured I would ask since the CRL didn't say anything specific about rules behind sewing the codpiece to the cummerbund

Well it does....

• Codpiece attaches under the cummerbund either to the vest, the undersuit or the backside of the cummerbund. The codpiece is NOT sewn to the bottom edge of the cummerbund.

But only for Level 2.  Meaning for Level 1, you're fine either way.  It's just not a great setup because the codpiece will constantly be pulling down on your bund as you move around.  And most important, the film ones were not done that way.

Gotcha. I might get a new piece anyways since the current one I'm working with is a little tight on me
