Bikrtrash Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 After my first year of trooping, and a few tweaks, i am just about ready to "up my game". This will be a little backwards as i an still trying to figure out how to put the suede riding patches on the suit, but here's everything else to critique so my final ensemble pics will be ready to rock. Chopper Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Thank you for your application. Our review and feedback will be on hold until you finish posting all of the required items and overall photos.
Bikrtrash Posted July 6, 2024 Author Posted July 6, 2024 FInally found time to complete my under suit! Here should be the rest of everything...Sent from my moto g 5G - 2024 using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Thank you. Do you have a link to higher resolution versions of the new photos? The sizes are all very small and it's difficult to see the details.
Bikrtrash Posted July 6, 2024 Author Posted July 6, 2024 Tapatalk apparently really cuts down on resolution now..... I just tried to create an album on Facebook- hopefully this link works: Facebook
Chopper Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 The review team has completed their assessment and our findings are below: Measurements that are missing from application and still need to be provided: Shoulder armor elastic Boot toe strip Dropbox straps Belt webbing Corrections, Adjustments, and Notes: Bicep Armor T-bit is covered in glue. Should be replaced or at least refinished and painted. Bicep armor should be worn a little higher and moved upward 1/2”-1”. Chest/Back Armor Shoulder bridge covers are 1.5" in length. The CRL calls for 0.5" to 1" bridge covers. They will need to be replaced with the proper sized covers. Side strap elastic is ribbed and needs to be replaced with non-ribbed white elastic. The rank bars don't appear to be the same thickness -- the bottom bar appears thinner than the others. If you are using 4 rank bars then they all need to be double thick and you need to use the trapezoid in the middle of the horizontal tank line. Reference: http://www.501stpathfinders.com/images/scoutopedia/06. Back Armor/ROTJ pouches tank.jpg Codpiece Stitched rectangle on the front of the codpiece, where the crotch strap is attached, should not be visible. Belt Right side dropbox should be moved up about half an inch”. Rear parachute buckles are inverted. Detonator End caps should be trimmed down. Recommend taking approx 1/4" off. Tube color is silver and should be replaced with grey tubing or painted gray. Boots Closure loop is too large and should be at the top of the boot closure. Reference: http://www.501stpathfinders.com/images/scoutopedia/15. Misc/MOTM_17701.jpg Holster Lower right rivet on the holster appears to be missing in the original photos. Please verify that it's been replaced. Blaster Barrel divot needs to be filled in. Scope-end should be drilled out. Reference: http://www.501stpathfinders.com/images/scoutopedia/13. Blaster/Auction Blaster52.jpg Indented rings in scope need to be filled in. Reference: http://www.501stpathfinders.com/images/scoutopedia/13. Blaster/Auction Blaster47.jpg Thank you again. Bikrtrash Posted July 13, 2024 Author Posted July 13, 2024 Thanks for the list, I only see one thing I should need help with- how to modify the EC-17 rear scope? I have a lot of tools and am very creative.... But don't know how to duplicate what is in the auction house pics...I only bought this particular one because it has "stepped circular grooves" but not good enough- yet !
Bikrtrash Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 I found a way to bore out the rear of the scope, it is now a few thousandths over 1/2 inch as you can see. Is that a correct depth? The center part is where the pilot extends for the cutter, I can fill that in flush if needed. What about these "stepped circular grooves" listed in the CRL???... Any good eyepiece specific pictures of Lancer approved blasters would be greatly appreciated as the auction pics and screenshots just look bored out to me.Thanks in advanceSent from my moto g 5G - 2024 using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 The hole on the end of singlepoint scope is approximately 17mm deep and the rim is about 1.5mm wide, though the inside gets wider the lower it goes. You can see a good example of what the scope looks like, below. The photos also show the ridges on the inside of the scope end.
Bikrtrash Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 Thanks Chopper! Those are excellent resource pics...... guessing that AN EXTREMELY LOW amount Blasters pass for Lancer. Who would have thought that the Blaster Scope eyepiece would be the hardest part of a Lancer build?!! I accept the mission at hand
Chopper Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Most of the blasters that vendors offer have the part you're currently working on fully molded. The Hole in the Ground Productions blaster is the exception vs the rule. You can keep working on finishing it yourself, or you can 3D print and finish a new scope, or you can buy a new blaster. For the last, I recommend blasterworks. https://blasterworks.net/shop For the 3D print option, talk to @MrPoopie 1

Chopper Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Alright thanks. The review team has looked over your photos and we're going to give you the "go ahead" on your Lancer status. Stay tuned for an annoucement. We have one final costume note that you should adjust on your own, which is to center your back-side drop box buckles. Those should be centered on the strap, same as how you did on the front.
