Clone 071
Hey Pathfinders! It's getting that time when I finally got my RS Props kit together and got some photo work done. Hoping for a swift process, but this being my first costume, I'm bound to have made some errors, haha. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YjlBxrPIOx4QV0KRPRkje4VnrC8l3bbb/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/13OCc6jKHtI0wBJpKjgNqriMeT-_-Lm8h/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/15Cj2xK8wsR2MhuaAdB564iiYeeYktPPn/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eNzMV89mIyUN5Qwl09vDSXHYkkdGh5Kj/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Cyqe5UFDDcd9ELsuKsIU_6Yx1cvyxZNd/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UCOX4Yaex0elnEX1Kc9HL6PloaeAvL_3/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YQejCjkIhyTcTln3JgvHKAwtfclPwKzc/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HI3nkLQuNylWgnqfvUXmSUbhTDBYFQJD/view?usp=drive_link I know the finish line is near now, but any last bit of advice/adjustments that I need to make before submitting my application will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Edit: So at the very least the links work, but I was hoping the photos would show here.
Aradun
I think you’ll be fine for basic approval Patrick, but you may want to retake your front photos with bucket on, bucket off, and action shot. There is a gap between your cod piece and belt which is allowing about an inch of your flight suit to show. You may need to raise your cod a bit and drop your belt and bund to close that gap. Down the line if the you notice the gap appearing in troop photos it might be best to redo the cod and make it longer up top so that it sits under your bund. Before you take any new photos, I’ll let members of the team who have served as GMLs weigh in on whether this is even an issue for basic clearance. @Hask @Retrofire?

Clone 071
So unfortunately my submission didn't pass for a few reasons: One being the cod piece gap that was brought up. Easy fix. Just need to pay attention to that when donning the kit. The second issue involved the vest sleeve not extending past the shoulder bell. Thankfully the issue with that was the shoulder bell arm straps pulling the vest sleeves up when donning that particular piece, so I'll be sure to take extra notice of that going forward. Last issue surprised me considering this is an RS Props kit, but the off-white cummerbund pouches and side straps don't match the white strapping on the belt. After my GML pointed it out, the difference is quite clear. @Chopper I was advised to seek out your advice on the best way to address this issue. Thanks! Chopper
Your GML is correct, the pertinent Level 1 section of the CRL says: "If using off-white cummerbund pouches and side straps, the drop box straps are also off-white." You have two options: 1) Buy or make some plain white pouches 2) Dye your drop box straps off-white with tea to match the pouches. The trick here is that I believe the drop box straps used by RS are elastic. Elastic is not going dye easily with tea, so you'll need to replace the drop box straps with 1.5" white cotton webbing. Strider has a post on dying the pouches and straps, in his build thread here:
