Helmet:

Screen accurate snout greeblie. Recess painted black. Rear lower has 8 indents. 

Ear holes cut out. No mesh. Interior blacked out.

Gray 3M bolts. 22mm with concave center.

 

Balaclava:

 

Flightsuit:

Mandarin style collar. Tailored to wearer. Patches are pigskin suede.

Thigh straps are 2in elastic.

Butt patch is real suede. Ends at bottom of buttocks.

 

Shoulder Armor:

Affixed with black zip ties.

Secured around sleeve with 1/2in black elastic. Bottom corners are rounded.

 

Bicep Armor:

Film accurate T-bit. 2in black elastic.

 

Forearm Armor:

1in black elastic.

 

Gloves:

Gauntlets fit snugly and do not flare.

 

Vest:

Separate from flightsuit and cummerbund. Raglan sleeves do not flare and extend no more than 1.5in past bottom edge of shoulder bell. Right over left 2in velcro closure.

 

Chest Armor:

1in off white cotton webbing shoulder bridges.

1.5in off white cotton webbing under arm straps. 

 

Back Armor:

4 rank bars with extra trap detail on pin stripe.

Accurate tank topper secured with 1/8in rivet and visible washer. White circle and red pin stripe painted. 1/2in elastic secured at top and bottom rivets.

1/8in rivet center bottom.

 

Cummerbund:

Polished white cotton. Separate from flightsuit and vest. No external edge stitching. 

Right over left 2in velcro closure.

5 ribs, 1in wide.

 

Codpiece:

Polished cotton. Does not bunch in groin area, inside is batting, 2mm foam, and 2mm styrene in lowest portion. 2in black elastic. Not sewn to bottom edge of cummerbund.

 

Pouches:

Off white to match straps. 6in high, 5in wide, 2in deep. Bottom edge of flap 2in. Affixed with 2in high attachment tab. Approximately 1in from outer rib.

 

Belt:

One piece construction worn on the waist. Off white drop box straps match pouches and other straps. Straps loop behind buckles.

2in nylon webbing attached in back with two 1/8in rivets.

1.5in off white straps.

 

Thermal Detonator:

Medium gray. Face is asymmetrical with rectangular greeblie on long side. 

Black drill style belt clips.

End caps are concave, not flat.

 

Knee Armor:

3/4in elastic strap. 1/2in elastic strap secured with 1/8in rivets.

 

Boots:

Left inside. Replica soles. 1/2in toe strip. Dog bone ends at toe strip. Done bone has white stitching and concave curve along bottom edge. Left boot is left over right 1in velcro closure. Right boot is right over left 1in velcro closure.

Right boot outside.

 

Holster:

5 vents cut out.

Secured with four 1/8in rivets.

 

EC-17:

Rubber. Scope has stepped circular grooves and no lens, decals, or crosshairs.

 

DLT-19x:

Replica MG-34 with T-tracks on barrel, ejection port cover, and small disc on left side. Prop single point scope. Bipod detached.

Thank you again for your application. Overall, an excellent Lancer submission, we only have a few items to note.

Below is the feedback from the review team:

Butt flap. Needs to be trimmed to better match the CRL and reference photos.

It's an approximate, but it looks like you should trim about 2 inches on the bottom and maybe 1 inch on each side. You might want to mark the cuts in chalk first and give us a look, before cutting.

 

Codpiece. The cod curve he has is more like a chevron vs the curve on the screen used codpieces. That should be adjusted to match more appropriately.

Optional items to update outside of the application:

Shoulder bells: The screen used bells were fairly large on the actors, but you might want to trim each edge on the bell by 5-10mm to make them slightly smaller on your kit.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll start with an inch off the butt flap and see how that looks. And for the cod, the stitching is in fact a curve the entire way? It had been my understanding that it was two straight lines connected with a filet in the middle. I'll make adjustments this weekend and send new pictures. Will you want a full suit up again or will just wearing flightsuit and cummerbund/cod suffice?

The stitching on the cod is not a true curve, but it's not a chevron either. Look at the comparison photo between your cod and the screen cod, below. The arc is more gradual. I also think that the straight sides of your cod are limiting how much space you have to sew the curve, but you should be able to work with what you have.

For your update photos, we don't need a full suit up. Flight suit, cod, bund, and belt will suffice.

New adjustments made to the cod and butt flap. Cod I think definitely looks better. Butt flap I ended up trimming 1.5 inches off the bottom and a 1/2 inch off both sides. Thank you for your expertise and have a great weekend!

Thank you. The cod looks much better now. You might want to steam it a bit to get out the indent from the prior stitching, but that's not an issue for the application.

As for the butt flap, we think that you still need to trim another 1" from the bottom.

Excellent. I had steamed the stitches very lightly which helped, I don’t want to do too much and melt the batting inside. I’m hoping the rest of the indent rubs out over time.
