Tnel
I am brand new to this and have never been able to afford it up until recently. I was wanting to look into buying a finished Scout kit or potentially getting help making one. I have no idea where to start and have been looking all over.

Best place to start for all things ROTJ Scout is right here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/91-biker-scout-hq/ We've got tutorials, vendor lists, plenty of source material photos and even links to videos!
Dart
Hi Tyler! Mickey's link above really is the best place to start. Lots of info. If you're looking to get a kit and build it yourself (the scout armour, minus the helmet, is relatively simple to assemble - the soft parts a bit more challenging), you don't need a ton of tools. Having a good utility knife, some hobby files, a variety of sandpaper or sanding sponges (my personal fave) is enough to get you started. The end goal is to have fun, so hopefully you find a kit that works for you. Hope you enjoy your first build!
Aradun
There are various vendors that make the armor parts, some, like RS Propmasters and Chefs Creations do full commissions. Other vendors focus on soft parts like the boots, flightsuit, etc. If you’re up to the challenge, most of the soft parts can be made by you which will save some money. Many of us, including myself, have gone that route with little to no prior experience. There are great how-to tutorials in the link posted above that will give you a sense of what to expect should you try to make various items yourself. As for the armor, check out the armor comparison thread to get a sense of what’s available and how it compares to the original.http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/17774-the-ultimate-armor-comparison-thread/Feel free to follow up with any questions as you go through the resources here on the forum.
