Armor cut discrepancies, need clarity.

So, I sat down in my garage to begin the first cuts on my TB and hit an immediate block. I have not gone over the all the different pieces between the WTF kit and the RS Prop Masters kit I watched a few tutorial videos on. So far I've identified several issues just in the chest/back. The chest and back appear to have 3 different attachments at the shoulder, 2 of which appear to be canon.

Attachment 1) The TB that races Luke on the speeder has a piece of fabric and what is likely a rivet beneath or thru it as mentioned in the old CRL.

Attachment 2) The TB that points his blaster at Leia or the one Han taps on the shoulder at the bunker. Their straps appear to be seamless, making the front and back piece one solid piece.

Attachment 3) RSPM has recessed slits for white webbing to be threaded through. This method is not found on any TB in the ROTJ film.

2nd inconsistency. RSPM explicitly states to V-notch the chest beneath the pecs. This IS featured in ROTJ on at least 1 TB, but it not mentioned in the CRL at all. Any veteran TB's care to weigh in on this? Thanks in advance.

By "attachments" are you talking about the shoulder bridge covers? What kit are you building? RS or WTF?

This is actually the reason we decided on standard measurements for the CRL for strapping and such. There were 20-something scouts built for the movie and there were differences with most of the ones you see on screen, whether they were the hero suits, stunt suits, or background suits.

My best advice is to stick to the measurements on the CRL.

The attachment at the shoulder bridge. I've got a WTF kit.

Then CRL is (regrettably) what I'll do. I honestly would have preferred the seamless look if it could be argued for it but the Black Text does specify the shoulder bridge be joined and then covered by a piece of white cloth. As far as the V-notch under the chest, it's not mentioned either in the CRL and I was leery about to being something that may just compromise the armor and would crack there later on down the road.

Thanks both of you, for questions answered.
