LVScout
Greetings - I'm currently working on my first Scout build. I only currently have a Vader with the 501st but I wanted to have a backup as our garrison has several Vaders and I wanted something that I could troop in and still be apart of the events. I'm 6ft2 and 245lbs (thanks covid). Armor: Studio Creations (pending) Helmet: Altmann - ordered Boots/jumpsuit/gloves: ordered from imperialboots Other soft goods I'm working with a garrison member to sew ourselves Blaster(s): might 3d print but I have seen posts on the forums for other retailers Neck seal: Still deciding Still a big work in progress but I look forward to the input. Thanks for your time.
FogOut
Looking forward to your build. I have a similar set up with my helmet and armor. Besides my TIE Pilot costume, I find the scout kit is the most convenient to pack for trooping.

BikerScout007
That was the official welcome for current 501st members! Welcome to the Pathfinders forum. Glad you decided on the ROTJ Scout, especially for the 40th of ROTJ! Sounds like you already have a lot of the costume parts squared away, so mostly you'll need help putting it all together. Check out some of the WIP threads to get any idea of other folks' builds: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/96-biker-scout-wip/ We just came out with a build video about the armor, there are some good tips in there: And as for the neck seal.... you can wear a dickie too. They are cheap and I believe that's what most of the scouts in the movie wore: https://www.amazon.com/Rothco-Mock-Turtleneck-Dickie-Black/dp/B07HNDWPKC/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=dickie+turtleneck+men&qid=1680638673&sprefix=dickie+tur%2Caps%2C129&sr=8-

And you are correct the ROTJ is the version I am working on. I wasn't sure that even though I don't have a scout now I would be eligible to order merchandise. I will continue within the forums until I get a final complete list. But I thank you for all the guidance. Definitely will check out the video. Thanks! Aradun
Personally, I find the open collar with a gaiter to be more comfortable than using a neck seal with open collar or opting for the mandarin collar. I feel that heat dissipates a bit better with that option.
