Stutz Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 I found some boots that might work for my daughters Scout costume. Wanted to get input from the experts. Would these work as a starting point for a DIY boot build? I'm thinking the heel might be too high, but I do like not having to deal with laces. Just looking for basic approval. Thanks!
Chopper Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Hmmm yeah, you can double check with your local GML, but I think the sole and heel might be too thick to work effectively for a scout boot. 1
Retrofire Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Hi Dean. I have to agree with Chopper. I get wanting to go without laces but that heel is much too high even for basic. I'm not sure a GML would be ok with that. Based on the CRL it's just a bit too much.
DukeOfNachos Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 For laces I took the originals out on my boots and just put the elastic ones for the first 3-4 holes (up to where the dog bone covers) works like a charm. 1

LOL. I am the local GML 🙂 But I know when to come to the experts. I will take your advice and keep looking. Thanks for the input! 2
