First costume build - need armor trim confirmation for approval

Hi, building first ever costume - ROTJ Scout. I need to know where to trim the chest armor. 

I trimmed at the line from manufacturer, but i believe I need to completely remove shaded area marked on picture. I based this on pausing the movie a lot, and looking at pics on the web.

I will be trying for level 2 approval right off the bat- if you're going to do it, do it right

Hi Z, I think that's too much trimming off the bottom of the chest armor. I'd add about 3/4" to 1" more from where your line is.

There was some lip on the screen used armor, as in the photos below:
