Snap, and or magnet maybe, I’m just spit balling

I wouldn't use a snap as you risk tearing the pouch fabric opening and closing it. You could use a pliable magnet like the thin ones you get in the mail for your fridge. Those should fit flat enough to maintain the look of the pouch and keep it closed. Most of the rare earth magnets are too thick and will cause the flap to stick out.

Any reason you aren't liking the Velcro closure? That's typically the best way to keep your pouch closed securely. I keep my phone and my mp3 player and a stack of trading cards in my pouches so I like the Velcro closure. It's robust and I've had my pouches for a long time and no issues with it.

@Retrofireok that makes sense. I just didn’t want to stick that pouch back in the machine for Velcro. I’ll just hand sew it on this one and do it correctly on pouch 2 ;).

Ok so after talking to one of my sewing aficionados, I’m just putting that pouch as a learning measure ;). Now that I know how it’s sewed I’m just going to cut another pouch and affix the Velcro.

We’ll well, progress since Tuesday. Sewed up some pouches, ordered some pouches, and sewed my dogbones. My pouches aren’t nearly as great as Pilot Bay pouches but they’ll get me basic clearance ;). So sewed on my loop to the bund and attached my temp pouches.

So as soon as the glue gets in tomorrow I can assemble my boots and get ready for some approval pics!

FYI, the photo of your pouch isn't showing up, Kevin.

I believe that on the way outside my one bicep may have shuffled down a tad, hopefully GML wont ding me on it. once this is all in I'll have to add the velcro to lock everything into place.

So I’m currently stuck unless I want to go work on softgoods while I’m trying to compartmentalize all the armor. TD just got finished , using the nice sink hack from @nateopotato.

Belt Clip placement on the TD, I counted 7 ribs from each end and then drilled between those ribs with a 1/8” bit, then used a  1/8”-3/8” rivet to make sure I had enough meat on the tube interior to grab the washer.

So for armor wise it’s either finish the belt (I was going to wait for more webbing to get here to figure the drop boxes ), or tackle the helmet, and I’m kinda worried about the helmet… all four parts of it ;), also while I’m on the helmet, is there a template floating around for the lens?

The CRL shows the zip tie with the smooth side facing in. There's no detail too small and I just want to ensure that I'm not overlooking any detail.

@SoCaliBuckeyeit passed , using all parts from the SC kit for the detonator (including the zip tie ;)) so I think it’s good to go.

Much appreciation! I hate to get hung up on what amounts to a small and possibly overlooked detail, but it's better to ask. Thanks again!
