Undersuit ??

The undersuit I had custom made wound up being too small.  But, I've heard that now a different type can be used, as per the CRL - flightsuits/racing suits found on Amazon?  Can anyone confirm, and possibly direct me to links to some good ones?  Thanks!

The only change made recently was to allow for an open collar.  The base flight suits are still the same.  You can use flight suits or coveralls.  Whatever works.

If you do decide to pick one up from Amazon, just be aware that you will likely need to remove some visible pockets, and you’ll also need to add the riding patches and leg straps to meet CRL requirements. We can certainly assist you in that regard if you chose to go that route.

It's been a while, but I am coming back to your offer to help with sewing the riding patches on to the new suit.  I purchased the coveralls, but I will need to remove pockets and transfer the riding patches from my old undersuit to this one.  The seamster who I mentioned before is not able to help me with it at this time.

Hi Ron! Give this thread a good read through to get an idea of what you'll have to do for the suit mods. If you already haven't you can gather the required items, suede/strapping, so you can work it yourself or with another tailor. @Aradun is solid with a sewing machine so we're here to help should you need.

If you’re removing the patches from your old suit, be sure to use a seam ripper and go slow.  The ripper is insanely sharp and if you go too quick, it’s easy to slice your patch especially if it gets hung up and you try to force it. 

Once removed, you should be able to just pin it to the new suit and restitch it.  You’ll need to seam rip the legs to run the suit through the machine.  Hopefully your suit has a simple seam on the outside of the leg, which will make it easier to seam rip.
