Cummerbund slipping down.

I've noticed whenever I put my cummberbund on my dummy (aka my 28 year old son) that it slips down, so I realise I'll have to attach it to something. Would it be better to attach it to the vest, or the chest armour? What do other troopers do?

I put velcro on the back of my bund (a strip across the upper edge that gets covered by the chest armor) with a matching strip of velcro on my flight suit.

If I attach velcro to the flight suit, wouldn't the vest get in the way?

I think I am the only one who attaches it to my armor...  I have strips of elastic going from the back of my bund (where the pouches are) to the upper part of my chest, via velcro.  For me, this keeps my cummerbund up and my armor down (otherwise, my armor like to shift up/back).  Keeps everything in place every time.

Sorry -- I meant the vest.  I have a matching strip of velcro on my vest to hold the bund.

I added velcro on my flak vest and my bund attaches to it that way. Never had any slipping issues.

I have the bund attached with Velcro to the vest, front and back, AND there is Velcro on the front of the bund that attaches to the inside of my chest armor. I didn’t attach the bund to the back armor in order to allow some flex for when I bend over. I didn’t want my movement constricted.

Some people opt for snaps, but most use Velcro because it allows for greater adjustment than a snap.

Not sure if anyone has seen Bravo outposts video on YouTube, but he has straps (maybe braces) holding up his bund. Is that acceptable?

That is a less common solution, but typically whatever we can't see under the armor doesn't matter in terms of the CRL. So yeah, if that works for you then it'd be acceptable.

Thanks guys, got some great ideas. I'll try some velcro, see how that goes.
