Hi Chelle, the assembled parts all look okay to me. The next step is how well they fit with your soft good. Let us know if you have further questions.

Sorry, it's taken me so long to reply.  It will be mid to late October before I get the soft parts of my costume.  As soon as I get them I will post pics of the whole outfit and post them here.  I got my EC 17 blaster today pics to follow.

The CRL has changed as of 1 Aug 2022, but you can still get cleared with the mandarin collar even after the change went into effect.

Will that go towards lancer status?

If I have the old-style collar?

That's a good question. I know for basic clearance you can have either style (for now, so I assume at some point it'll get phased out). There are usually grace periods for bigger changes like this one though.

Unless your flight suit has a really wide opening at the neck though I don't think it would be very difficult to cut off the mandarin flap closure and restitch it into an open collar.

At this time we are allowing either collar type for Level 2/Lancer.

Not at all.  We really don't want people worrying about this. We understood this was going to be a big change and it's going to take a long time to get everyone to adapt to it.  I've reached out to some of the major soft goods makers and alerted them to the change. 

It's just like when we moved away from one piece bund/cods and when we standardized the pouch sizes.  It took some time but eventually it just became the norm. 

The Mandarin collar will be in the CRL for the foreseeable future.

Just a little confused.  How has the collar on the flight suit changed as I cannot see any difference from the CRL before August the 1st and the one after the 1st of August?

I have someone making my soft parts and I need to let her know of the changes

The CRL still allows for the Mandarin.  Therefore we have left the picture up.  When we get time, we will also add a picture of the open collar configuration.  If you want to know how it should look, watch the video.  

But if someone is altering a currently existing set of coveralls, all you need to tell them is leave the collar alone.  It should already have a folded collar.
