PropReplicator2
Its been a long time coming, and ive been looking forward to this build for years. A month ago i pulled the trigger and purchased a set of WTF armor so hopefully that will be here in the next month or so. Got my Wampa Wear gloves in the mail yesterday. I have a modified flightsuit that needs the suede sewn on. I will post updates here as often as possible with pictures, and as always, any help is appreciated. Thanks guys! Michael_Davis26019
Welcome! Looking forward to your progress. For your soft goods I recommend @Chrisx909x He made mine and they fit great and are good quality.
Hiker Scout
If you have questions about the soft parts build let me know or check out my build thread. I made all my soft parts myself and saved some cash. Great tutorials for bund, boots, and flak vest on the forums.
PropReplicator2
Spent the last few days off and on after work sewing up a cummberbund and pouches. Settled on 8.75" tall for the bund itself. Used clean white cotton for the bund and white duckcloth for the pouches with foam inserts.
PropReplicator2
Any thoughts on the bund? Might redo it since i feel like there isnt enough padding. Maybe one more layer of batting this time? Curious on what others think
Donovan
The bund and shape of the pouches look good but correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe duckcloth is permitted for the pouches? I believe they were canvasSent from my moto g play (2021) using Tapatalk
kayelbe
Cotton duck and canvas are basically the same thing.
Donovan
Forget what I said lol I just double checked the crl and duck cloth/canvas is allowed for the pouches but not the bundSent from my moto g play (2021) using Tapatalk

I would try hitting the edges of the pouches with an iron if you can, just to get some of the wrinkles out.

PropReplicator2
Ironed out the pouches and bund after washing it all together. Threw in the foam inserts. What does everyone use for the pouches? I like the slightly rounded look, but i would love to have some type of storage space for my wallet/pens/keys and other small things. Chopper
Looks solid. For my pouches, I use foam as well, but I cut a slot/indent into it, so I've got a place to put my phone, keys, id, etc.
PropReplicator2
Spent the last day or two sewing on the suede patches and the thigh straps. Does the buttflap look slightly too wide? I am 5'9" and went with 13.25" wide and 12.25" tall.
BikerScout007
Slightly. You could probably stand to slightly shorten it and make it a bit narrower.
PropReplicator2
Took some material off the mudflap. I definitely feel like this hits home alot more.
Chopper
Yeah that looks about right. Stick with that until you get the rest of the kit fitted.
PropReplicator2
So im awful about posting updates, but I finished the helmet kit and wasnt happy with the wider face so i ordered one from Christhepropguy here on the forums. I like the shape better. Hopefully that will be in the mail in the next month or so. My WTF armor is 85% pieced together. Waiting on a tank topper replacement before attaching the back tank (the one I recieved with my kit was a really poor cast). Finished the vest and codpiece today. These arent the best images, but I will post better ones tomorrow with outdoor lighting.
PropReplicator2
What is the general consensus on how to get rid of the "Combat Camel Toe"? Thats one thing I am struggling with fixing.
kayelbe
Judging off your pic above, you’ll probably wanna loosen the thong a bit first. It looks thick enough that might do the trick. If not, adding a piece of plastic shaped like the “under curve” part and inserted inside will definitely eliminate it. Of course you’ll have to reset it in that case.
Aradun
Kayelbe gave you the two most common solutions. If the strap ends up being to too short once loosened, you can add a piece of elastic strap onto the end, as it will be covered by the bund.
PropReplicator2
Been a while since my last update, but i recieved a new helmet kit from @christhepropguy and pieced that together over the last two weeks when i had time. Still have to install the lense, and hing bolts to cover the rivets. Also attached the tank topper greeblie this weekend and threw that on the back armor.
PropReplicator2
Got some time last night and threw in the lens. Now all that's left for the helmet is hinge bolt (covers), and the interior. Debating between the construction helmet head brace or helmet padding.
BikerScout007
Looks good! I had a construction helmet liner and it gave me headaches, so I ended up removing it and going with helmet pads. Just a thought!
