Gloves help

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Been researching for my future Biker Scout ROTJ and i was hoping someone could help me with gloves.

Does anyone know where i could buy this from an Aussie supplier?

USA is not shipping to Australia and it's been like that for months and i do not see it changing. 😭

The other soft parts i can make from scratch but the gloves...i do not think i could alter a leather pair to be screen accurate and approvable.

The builds thread from my garrison are literally all from wampa wear which i would love to order but it wouldn't arrive ever.

Any help appreciated. 😃

Your only other option is Imperial Boots: https://www.imperialboots.com/product/biker_scout_gloves/

They do orders in monthly waves lasting the first week of the month. The Feb wave is open right now.

Otherwise, @M.J might know if someone in the area is selling a used pair locally.

I just shipped a bunch of racing shirts from the US to Australia with no issue.  Were you trying to order from Wampa Wear?

Besides Imperial Boots, there is also Crowprops for gloves.  But I'm just curious what the particular problem was.  Maybe there's a way we can make it work for you.

Just had a quick look at the USPS site and according to the notice posted 17/9/2021 ( the date the right way 😛 ) the outage only affects.affected priority mail international .

Sure one of our US chums who knows more about the USPS products can help with what would be able to be delivered

Here is the notice posted 28/1/2022 regarding shipments to Australia from the USPS. Hope you all are doing ok there!

The Postal Serviceâ„¢ is temporarily suspending international mail acceptance for certain destinations due to impacts related to the COVID-19 pandemic and other unrelated service disruptions. Customers: please refrain from mailing items addressed to the countries listed here, until further notice.

1-28-22

Australia Post advises that its daily operations are currently suffering disruption because of severe storms and flooding across the country, and especially in the states of South Australia and Queensland and the Northern Territory. The processing and delivery of inbound and outbound mail items is affected. Deliveries in Queensland to postcode areas 4731, 4805 and 4820 (flooded roads), and areas 4804 to 4852 (road closures) are especially impacted.

I shipped the racing shirts to @andylah via UPS.  That may be an option here.

On Australia post they say they aren't delivering. Personally i am waiting on three packages and i haven't received them and they all from America. So i wanted to avoid those troubles with building my scout.

But i checked the UPS website and it appears they may delivering to us? I'll have to get in touch with the senders again

Australia’s service disruption affects Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), Commercial ePacket (CeP), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®) packets, International Priority Airmail® (IPA®) M-Bags, International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®) packets, International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®) M-Bags, and Airmail M-Bags. Thats from USPS i am pretty sure that is all international package options.

So i am very concerned about ordering from US currently.

Thank-you to all who have replied!!

Hey Cass good to see you here.

It does depend on how you get them sent, I did send some parcels off to the US last month and all arrived well and safe, I did wait till flights were up and running.

We got our command coins, and I did get a number of christmas cards  from the States with goodies mind you I got them a  month after christmas.

One thing to remember we dont have as many flights so parcels are being banked up. If you're not in any hurry just yet put them on order, I heard we are going to open up to international travellers soon. Also see if any of the Redbacks are keen to do an order from wampa wear someone might looking as well.

I got mine from the states as well so sorry.

Hi everyone,

Thank-you so much. I personally contacted UPS and they said services are normal but delayed which is new normal now. USPS definitely not for now...

I'll contact and see if they post through UPS.

@M.JThanks! No hurry for this build, my helmet is on order from temporal armoury and that will take most likely a year to arrive (huge waitlist). I just like collecting and building what i can.

@Meowied_Cass or @M.Jcan you give me some more info on Temporal Armoury? I try to stay on top of the various scout vendors, but this is a new one for me!

It’s called “Temple Armoury “ local in Australia, all the makers are 501st some retired old farts….lol. I’m going to pay for that one.

Their wait list is long.
You can find them on FB, I know all of them .. top blokes. It does help with Aussies having issues with postage, now even more so, the cost of postage has doubled sadly.

Corey grab me on fb and I can show you

Oh ok, "Temple Armoury", I found them. Thank you for that, MJ. I was genuinely just curious, as I hadn't heard the name before. Now I know!

Opps didn't even realise i spelt it wrong. LOL. Yeah MJ covered it. They make the helmets for fun so while there is a huge waitlist, they don't take payment from you until the helmet is ready. That way if your circumstances change or you buy elsewhere you aren't losing anything. Plenty of people ready to snatch up the helmet if someone pulls out. They came highly recommended by my garrison members. My soon to be ex GCO cyclops has one himself as his approved biker scout so i am confident in quality. I am unsure if they meet lancer requirements though. I'll be a doing a build thread eventually so when it arrives in a yearish time i'll be sure to post lot's of pictures.
