Red square??

The tanks in the film had various identifying marks on them.  Probably so they knew what tank belonged to what costume (as they were removeable and held by an elastic strap).   We don't call for it so it's not anything you need to worry about!

So, I just saw this and was curious, my tank has this and its lights up. Should I try to remove it or will it be okay for basic?

For basic approval, the tank should not have the red square, nor should it have any lighting systems. Nether are listed or depicted in the CRL.

Just curious...how old is your kit?   I remember one prop maker saw that square and assumed it was a light and made kits that way but that was a LONG time ago.

And Chopper is right, it's not okay for basic.
