JBar
I'm considering making the jump from ROtJ to the Mandalorian but before I do, I want to see how much work would be involved in my conversion. I was wondering if anyone who has completed their builds have anything to add and I can update the list. - Neck Seal with ribs added - The flight suit is a Tie Pilot not a scout trooper - All elastic straps are between 3/4" and 1" - Chest armor does not have cloth that hides the connection to the back armor - Cummerbund and codpiece are once one assembly and hangs below chest armor - Inverted rear parachute buckles - Rank stripes removed from tank - Upper elastic o knee armor is removed along with the rivet - Pouches connect not from a flap but more of a "droop" style to the waist - Sandy weathering Did I miss anything major? I just want to be able to know the work/cost involved before jumping in
Chopper
If you're only looking for basic clearance, then the elastic strapping measurement isn't specified in the CRL. There's some other minor differences, like: "Rank" stripes would need to be removed from the upper right of the tank. Inverting the rear parachute buckles. The narrower upper elastic on the knee armor will need to be removed, along with the rivet. So you'll need to do some hole filling if you plan to use your existing armor.

Great catches, I'll add those to the list

Looks like the CRL states the black strap can connect to either the flight suit or the back of the codpiece if I'm reading it right

The codpiece itself was velcroed to the flight suit on the show. We couldn't tell where the strap ended up so we left it open.
Tarok
Apologies for necro’ing this thread: looking for confirmation on a couple of items. - is the flightsuit an OT Tie or R1/Solo/next generation suit? - is the neck seal the same as a TK neck seal? And again OT?

And again OT? The suit is OT style -- I believe it was a Wampa Wear but not 100% on that. The neck seal -- when it can be seen -- seems to be fabric. But because they were wearing Mandarin collars overtop of it, in most scenes it's not even visible. So we didn't get too specific.

Gix
Thanks for this thread guys - great info. I've started this new project last week as I've been wanting a Biker for so long - its excellent with the Mando version now so I'm super pumped.... especially to be able to sit after being Phasma for about 6 years now!
