ChrisThePropGuy Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Heyo! Long time builder first time scout. Decided would be best to post an actual build of my scout rather than just the mould progress (Mould making shennanigans can be found HERE, some images cross posted but I prefer to have a seperate thread to prove Ive made my own moulds and not recast) Im no stranger to taking the hard rout on all my builds opting to make moulds from scratch rather than buying a kit so here youll see my scout made with my own CTPG kit. Hopefully it can showcase how its put together. Started off with a huge order from IB: Started with the helmet as that seems to be the best place. Gluing the domes and sanding that is the hardest part of any scout so did that and got it out of the way. I then added the face and bolts. Test Fit, size looks good. Primer. Stickers and paint.
ChrisThePropGuy Posted October 10, 2021 Author Posted October 10, 2021 Next up armour! Best thing about having a large vac former is the ability to pull lots of parts at once. Belt almost complete. Knee and Bicep.
BikerScout007 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Well you've certainly done a good job getting that all together. One nit that I can see -- your TD greeblie should look like this: Your t-bit is also a little odd, but pretty close Good luck on the rest of your build!

I was copying another makers design for those parts assuming they were accurate but a friend has generously offered me the model kits for the greeblies to cast so I'll have some CFO parts!
