Another 1st time build ROTJ WIP

Hi Everybody,

I've been hanging around the fringes of here and the UK garrison forums for a few months now, doing my research and plotting my build. I've finally gotten the bits together so figured it was time to start a WIP. Since I started lurking the Imperial Scottish Squad has become the Imperial Scottish Garrison so I've put a WIP on their forums as well and am waiting on a garrison armourer to be appointed.

I'm tempted to go for lancer status but main priority is just getting something that meets 501st standards. I used to work making props/puppets/prosthetics/etc for LARP and theatre but that was a good number of years ago and working in plastic is entirely new to me so I'm likely to be looking for most advice on that side of things.

I've got everything except the gloves from Chef's Creations here in the UK (gloves from Wampa Wear). I've got the armour as a kit so I can trim it and fit it properly to me.

Looking forward to getting started. Thanks in advance for your help/advice/support

Cheers, Simon

Hi Simon, welcome to the Pathfinders. @Jennk182 from the Scottish Garrison is on staff here, so you will be in good company.

There are quite a few Lancer's who have used Chef's armor kit, so I don't anticipate that you should have many issues.

Again, welcome and the detachment armory team is here if you have any questions.

Welcome Simon! It sounds like you have all of bases covered and are off to a solid start. Be sure to ask any and all questions. You’ll find plenty of help here and the knowledge of our armorers is unsurpassable. You’re in good hands brother. Looking forward to seeing your build.

Your in good hands simon! I was having so many issues and let downs over the past 6 months I was just about ready to call it a wrap and just be a "501st Supporter" for lack of a better term hehe. But....Luckily for me I wanted to be a pathfinder before i even got my armor and was registered up, so i quickly learned when my issues were snowballing one after another on me the kind of help and support the pathfinders dish out "on a daily basis" (not even kidding). @MikerScout literally messaged me this morning on my instagram to ask if i was ok and make sure i was still moving forward on getting approvals. Good poeple for sure, excited as well to see what ya create!

Cheers Trooper!
