Quick update...

Armor is 99.9 % finished. Now to have the wife try and make the soft parts. Should be purchasing boots by next monthย  ill be attempting to fabricate them myself.

Hoping the holidays don't put a damper on my spending limits... ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

Sorry don't have pics to upload... I'm not liking the drop box method, pasting a link.

My apologies...

I personally find the Tapatalk App the easiest way to post pics to the forum. They appear right in your post so no need to click on links and you can do everything from your phone. The app is free. While they do put a limit on the number of pics you can post each month using the free version, itโ€™s a pretty generous allotment, which serves most users just fine. I didnโ€™t know about Tapatalk until a few months into joining the Pathfinders as a recruit.

The red square is not a part of the CRL. You don't need to add itย

UPDATE

Salutations one and all... unfortunately with the holidays it was an all stop on the armor building. but I bring good news. I have a son with needs and him watching me build the scout he asked if he can have it. Since I am all ready 501st I'm passing the armor to him. On Jan he will turn 18, so starting next year I will be purchasing his flight suit and soft parts. So he can join the ranks.... I will most indubitably be purchasing another set of armor for myself. Thank you one and all for all your advice and help...ย

Long live the Empire!

That sounds like a worthy use of your existing scout armor set. I hope that he enjoys it!

I concur with Chopper! What an awesome development. Itโ€™s one that will bring joy to you both, and being able to troop together will be a great experience with many shared memories for you and your son! Looking forward to his becoming a Pathfinder.

Salutations one and all... HERE WE GOO!!

As I stated, the armor now pertains to my son. Uncle same came through (taxes) ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ So onward for the Empire.

I've noticed there's two types of coveralls that are used, Redkap and Kolossus? What's recommended zipper or snaps??

Either will work as long as you can't see the zipper or snaps under the outer costume parts.

My current coveralls are RedKap, but it's really heavy material and not very breathable. It's also short in the torso, which isn't always super comfortable. I've got a pair of Kolossus coveralls that I need to start working on for my replacement set. The material is much nicer.

I concur with Chopper. If youโ€™re interested, I did a comparison of the two in the thread below.

Owning both, I prefer the kolossus for itโ€™s overall comfort.
