Buddygus Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 Hello, My name is Gus and I live in Okinawa Japan. I am finally (after 20 years of dreaming) starting my build. I ordered an assembled armor kit from SC. Now I am looking for soft good dealers. Any one have any suggestions? The most recent I was looking into was KriptonTop on Etsy and the Crowprops website. of course, I may just try it myself. My wife is pretty good with a sewing machine. Trouble is, she like to do things how she thinks is best, and not how the guidelines state. Lol. thanow all. cheers, Gus. 1
BikerScout007 Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 If you can (or your wife can) do it then you should. It's the best way to ensure all the guidelines are followed and that the garments are going to be made to fit you. We have several tutorials on most of the soft goods pieces in the Soft Parts section: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/145-biker-scout-soft-parts/ If you are looking for makers who supply soft goods, check the vendor list: 1

M.J Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Hi Gus, if your wife needs any help we are here. My partner was the same when I was building mine it was a little hard to explain it to him why though once we started he got the idea. 1
Buddygus Posted September 9, 2021 Author Posted September 9, 2021 All in at this point. Went to the fabric store and found material for the bund and pouches and boots. Ordered the Base boots and coveralls online, gloves from WW, and a holdout blaster from Luna Armory Works on Etsy. Now the waiting begins. It is taking things forever to ship to Japan from the US right now. I also want to say, that so far the reception I have received in this forum has been amazing. Thank you folks so much for taking a lot of the anxiety out of this so far. 1
Aradun Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 I’m excited for you Gus! You’ve got things in the works and your build will start coming together in no time. Be sure to start a WIP (work in progress) via the link below once you’re ready to start your build. It will keep all of your work, questions and feedback in one place. Be sure to ask any and all questions you have. You’ll find plenty of help here and the knowledge and expertise of our armorers is bar none the best. You’ll be in good hands brother!http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/96-biker-scout-wip/ 1
MikerScout Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Gus, you're going to have so much fun. I was in the same boat, after years of waiting I was finally able to take the plunge. I'm a novice at best at the sewing machine and I was able to sew my cummerbund, cod, pouches and build my boots. Like AradunFF said, start a WIP thread. The feedback is priceless and will save you so much headache when you apply for approval.
