Majora Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 1: How does their payment plan work? How often will i be paying the 500$, and when will i get my armor? 2: besides a balaclava, what changes have you all need to make to be approved by the 501st? 3: what should i wear under the flight suit to prevent the armor from stinking? thanks in advance pathfinders
Chopper Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Hey Majora -- 1) I would email info@rspropmasters.com and ask your payment questions directly of RS Props. Info of that nature is best asked of the business itself. 2) As long as the RS armor fits you correctly, the armor should be good to go for 501st approval. Remember: nothing is 501st approved out of the box -- it's all about how it fits you. If you're interested in Level 2/Lancer, note that RS uses Imperial Boots for their soft goods, which will not pass Level 2 clearance. 3) There's a lot of layers on the scout, so I'd hesitate to wear something extra. Usually I just clean my coveralls and flak vest with a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol mixed with water, or hand wash it if that doesn't do the trick.

I'm a little rounder than average, but should fit otherwise. Should i be concerned and work out for this, or will that be fine?
Aradun Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Hey Majora! The RS kit is “lineage” armor cast from original scout armor from ROTJ. Those actors averaged about 5’10” and 150lbs. I’m 5’10” and currently about 185lbs and the armor fits great. If your mid section is a bit more robust that will likely affect your soft parts like the flight suit and cummerbund. However, it might be a good idea when you contact RS about the payment plan to given them your measurements and inquire about fit, especially if you’re planning on getting your soft parts from them with a complete commission.

Chopper Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 The biker scout costume is primarily a soft parts costume and is able to fit many different body shapes and sizes. At 5ft12, you should fit into the armor hard parts just fine. 1
