Patrol trooper weathering process

Hello everyone I have decided to weather my armor before assembling. This was my first time trying this out and I used a unusable chest plate with the crack to the left in it. Armoury shop is sending me a new chest plate because it got damaged in shipping. So ignoring that flaw would this be good for the CRL? Thank you guys!
