Hey all! I'll be posting my Shoretrooper build here. I've got a few projects going on and after deliberation on each, I chose to go full speed ahead on the Shoretrooper Captain.

As follows, here's what I've got and am going with:
Helmet: SkyGunBros helmet - In hand
Armor: KB Props - ordered
Shirt: Imperial Boots - ordered
Pants: Imperial Boots - ordered
Boots: Imperial Boots - ordered
Belt: Imperial Boots - ordered
Gloves: Imperial Boots - In hand
Balaclava: Military surplus - In hand
Undersuit: Scuba suit - In hand
E-22: Unsure, will be looking around

Awesome!  Looking forward to your build process.

Just curious -- what is the Scuba suit for?

Undersuit, although I guess I don't need one for the Shroetrooper, haha. Disregard that then.

Also, just ordered the armor from KB Props. He had a kit ready to go.

You've got the shirt and pants from IB so you are all good on undersuit!

Welcome! And grats on starting your build, fun times ahead!

I don’t have experience with IB strapping, it looks pretty good. I personally like doing my own strapping, that way it is customized to my size and armor set.

As an alternate option, Stefan has a really good video on he he did his:

Let us know how it goes of you decide to get it!

Awesome, thanks. One more question, this is the correct spray paint, right? It's out of stock on Amazon, Lowes, and Home Depot.

Yup! The guys put out a really good list for the paints, found here:

Shame there isn't just one place I can order all the paint I need from. Oh well, I'll make do. Thanks for the link!

So it seems that my original order from Imperial Boots DID NOT go through.💀

Of course when I tried to frantically do the order over so I can get my soft goods, PayPal is refusing to work properly with the website, so I can’t check out. I’m really hoping the issue is corrected soon, I messaged IB about it.

Now I need to hunt down the ammo pouch...

to eBay!

Etsy

but it’s a crapshoot on the colour you receive and condition.

I'm trying to find a suitable replacement blue color, I've narrowed it down to two choices, both being Montana Gold.

Baby blue: https://www.plazaart.com/montana-gold-spray-paint-baby-blue

Fresh blue: https://www.plazaart.com/montana-gold-spray-paint-fresh-blue

I'm leaning towards the fresh blue, it looks like it'll be the right shade after spraying the matte black and ageing.

If you have opted against the Nordic Blue, montana “himalaya” has been used by many to get through approval.

It’s not that I’ve opted against it per se... it’s just proving to be very annoyed to get ahold of, and the few options I did find were expensive. Thanks for the heads up!

You mentioned being interested in achieving Vanguard. Himalya Blue is noticeably different from Ford Nordic Blue, so that might not be your best option if you want to get there.

Aw dang.... do you know of a US seller who carries it? I've been looking and can only find UK sellers who have it in stock.

My armor came today! I've checked it over thoroughly and I'm pretty sure all that's missing is the thigh plates and everything to make the thermal detonator. There are a few pieces I don't recognize but I'm sure I'll figure out what they are as I do my build.175921543_4185036411552734_2311203724423
