RS Props Full Commission is good enough for Basic Approval?

Hello there.

I'm looking to buy the fully finished commission from RS Props.

Is it 501st basic approved as a clean costume (no extra black air brush weathering) or are there any pieces that typically need to be replaced since they are inaccurate?

Thanks!

In terms of the armor and goods themselves, there should be no issues with the RS kit for basic approval. That said, nothing is approved out of the box -- it will entirely depend on how well it fits you. Additional tailoring or trimming may be needed to suit your specific body type.

That makes sense. I figured there would be some rigging and adjusting so it looks correct, but that's much easier than taking a kit and turning it into something.

I just wasn't sure if something on the Imperial Boots soft goods or armor or something was going to have to be replaced completely due to inaccuracy. Adjusting for fit is a different story.

If it fits then the package should be a-ok for basic clearance. At Level 2, there'd be more to look at, potentially, but if you're just interested in basic clearance you should be fine.

Hi Joe. I would recommend highly that you pull the CRL and also reach out to your garrison GMLs there in the DSG. You’ll want to make sure with them that there will be no speed bumps as well before you pull the trigger on your purchase.

Cool. Checked with the GML and they basically said it's a good kit and should be good if it's fitted correctly and to check on here. Sounds like I'm good to pull the trigger then.
