Building a WTF Biker Scout

Hi All! I'm TK-39526 who now has a BBB with a WTF ROTJ Biker Scout. I am looking for a few things. Is there a build thread for a WTF kit in there somewhere?

I see the vendors list, and not fully sure of what else I need. Soft Parts I am going to go with Imperial Boots. I need the helmet kit, side bolts, lens, front nose piece. Are the vendors in the above thread up to date? Any recommendations on where I can get the greeblies, and decals that I need?

Thanks! All help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dyan, did WTF not send any greeblies with their scout kit?

There aren't a ton of WTF scout builds that also include a lot of photos, but Jason Lawless (RIP) had a thread from when he did his build, here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19025-wtf-armor-build/&tab=comments#comment-171672

The vendor list looks to be current, though keep in mind that COVID might have affected production times and capacity.

Good luck, and let us know if you have any questions.

My mistake Chopper, I have greeblies and decals. They were hidden in the bottom of the box under all the styrofoam peanuts. Lesson learned next time unpack everything.

Good to go for now. I will most likely have questions as I go, going to start with the helmet I think.

Sorry to hear about Jason, :( I'll go through his posts, doing some research now on the boards.

I recently scoured this detachments threads for knowledge on a lot of the things you are looking for and you don’t have to dig very deep to find what you need. Chopper is correct about the set back due to covid and just a heads up that RS prop masters are set back due to a fire that happened in there workshop. Wampa wear and crow props had a crazy fast turn around though.

@Lucafan, I've been looking around the boards and finding some things, and two people in my garrison have built scouts.

I think for softparts I'm going to go with Imperial boots and get everything at once.

I'm sure I'll have more questions!

With the IB parts take some extra time to research the sizing of the soft goods if they come in “standard” sizes. Everyone’s body is a bit different and it may not fit your form. The soft goods really make this costume and it really is the majority of the armor and look. You can always tailor them to fit after but just want to encourage you to take a close look at the sizing charts to be sure you’re getting everything you need. We’re always here for you so shoot us questions and if you want to take a shot at doing yourself we can help there too.
