Thanks!  This is my fifth costume, but first armour.  Just trying to figure out the bucket, and how to best go at this.

We're in lockdown, so an armour party is out of the question right now.

Reiterating Chopper's question, what kit do you have?

Also I bumped you up to 501st access

Make sure you watch the Kropserkel video on their bucket:

Matt, you’re in good hands. When ready start a WIP and that will allow you to have a work space to post up questions, share progress and get feedback from the armorers. The armorers really know their stuff and will invaluable to you on your journey to build that Scout.

If I may suggest, don't use the snout sticker that comes with a KS helmet. Just paint it. It'll look better.

Also, the KS has a huge return edge, so don't feel like you have to keep all of it. ;)

Good luck, fearless one!

HAHA.  I think you SERIOUSLY overestimate my painting abilities.  :)

And what do you mean by "return edge"?

It’s the thingie that “rolls” over on the edge of your armor. That’s a technical term for it. On the KS it’s rather pronounced so Chopper is suggesting that you don’t have to keep all of it. That means you can remove it with a tool of your choosing but not a halberd using a halberd might damage the overall armor but lexan scissors or a Dremel would be a good choice. Give us some pics and Chopper (who is an expert I might add) and I can give you some guidance on how to make it look striking.

Psssshtt you have the painting abilities of DaVinci dude! Get some masking tape and mask off the snout and shoot it (not with a real firearm mind you) with either spray (we call that a “rattle-can”) or brush paint it with some acrylic. We’re always here to help you so let us know if we can.
