Flight-suit pocket question

Quick question—I’m working on constructing a flight suit, and I was wondering if the pockets on the upper legs “(2) large front pockets below the belt, without any zipper or flaps.” can be the original pockets that are built into the coveralls, or if I need to make new pockets to sew to the front.  Thanks for your input.

The flight suit in the Mandalorian is a TIE Jumpsuit, not the same suit we use with the regular Scout.  So any pockets need to match that style.
