BikerScout007
Hey Pathfinders The Armor Team just did a revision of the Return of the Jedi Scout Trooper, making a few minor changes to both Level 1 and Level 2. Mostly to address a few recurring issues over the past year or so. 1. We have set rivet sizes to be 1/8 (3mm). This is how we've always done it around here, but the past few months we keep seeing more and more large head rivets. This has proven to be problematic with Lancer apps. 2. With more folks 3D printing armor, we had to address helmets that have realistic vents. The "vents" in the film were created by decals, so that's how we do them. We've also made it a requirement that the earholes be cut out. This hasn't been an issue for most of you, but again with the 3D printed helmets it was getting to be a problem. 3. We've updated the flight suit photos and added links to the CRL to show close ups. We've also made it optional that the thigh straps can be either elastic or webbing. We've never been able to nail down for sure how the thigh straps were made, so we're giving you the choice! 4. We split up the Cummerbund, Codpiece and Pouches into their own categories so they aren't such a nightmare to read. We also added descriptive language of the pouches. 5. Belt and TD have also been split into their own categories, for the same reason. The black clip requirement has been moved from L2 to L1. That hasn't been an issue for anyone so it made sense to put it there. 6. Holster now has a L2 requirement of 5 cut out vents. 7. Hold out blaster has L2 requirements of no actual lens, but must have the grooves. This is was how the singlepoint scopes were created in real life. We also made one minor change to the Patrol Trooper 1. After seeing various ways the shin straps were done for the production, we decided to make it optional for builders as well. The language now reads: "Strap is black or white and may be made from any commonly used strapping material, such as: Elastic; Webbing; Rubber (ribbed horizontally like the belt or smooth)." We hope both these sets of changes makes the build process even easier for you! 7
Aradun
Thanks for all the clarifications and revisions. They’ll be most helpful to many with their builds. Thank you to the team too! Even though the armory team is paid top dollar , I know that managing all of this information and all of the other work you do on behalf of the detachment is a lot of work. I for one am grateful for the team’s dedication and all that they do. Pathfinders lead the way!

Harbinger
Clean update, shouldn’t affect most builds. Well done. See you all at Lancer!

No I wouldn't think so, it was more trying to clarify some points and standardize things that people were already doing, while heading off some bad habits at the pass!
