New Scout on the way

Morning all.

Have decided to take the plunge and commence on my Scout.
This has been a couple of years to get to this point.
Initially I wanted this to be my first costume in order to join the 501st but I went down the path of a Tie Pilot. Reasoning was it would allow me to join and commence trooping while also getting to know other troopers and gaining knowledge for the Scout.

First up though I would like to say a huge thank you to my fellow Knightfall Garrison member, Andrew, for his knowledge and offer of assistance to help me pull this together. Seems so daunting at first but he has managed to calm my nerves and focus on what should be tackled first.

Part list

Helmet: Studio Creations (Ordered 29th August)

Armor: Studio Creations (Ordered 29th August)

Under suit: Will be utilising a local trooper who has great skills in soft parts (Will get measured and order post current COVID Lockdowns)

Flak Vest: Will be utilising a local trooper who has great skills in soft parts (Will get measured and order post current COVID Lockdowns)

Cummerbund/Cod/Pouches: Will be utilising a local trooper who has great skills in soft parts (Will get measured and order post current COVID Lockdowns)

Boots: Will make with the help of a local trooper

Gloves: Wampa Wear (to be ordered)

Blaster: 7CS (Not sure of best place yet to source from)

Heavy Blaster: DLT19 (Not sure of best place yet to source from)

Above is where I am sourcing parts from. As we are in lockdown at the moment it will be a slow activity as we cannot leave our local area. But as soon as that lifts I will be getting measured up for all soft parts so they can be made.

In terms of the Armour and helmet I was going to get the kit from SC and put it together as they were not selling complete builds due to backorders. However I thought I would ask the question on the timeframe for when they would start selling complete kits again. I must have been in the right place at the right time as Kurt found 2 sets fully built and ready to go (just needs a little bit of customisation for my specs). Comms with Kurt have been fantastic and I can't wait for it to arrive.

I will post updates when I can

Hey Aneesh!

You're in good hands in your Garrison it sounds like, and you've made a lot of good choices in your Parts list.

The 7CS blaster is only available here and it looks like Lou's current run just closed up.

But reach out to Lou and maybe he can do something for you.  It's a great blaster -- I carry the same one!

Thanks for this link
Have reached out to see if he can squeeze one more in since closed. If not I will aim for the next run.

Welcome. This was a fun kit to work on. I too had to have help with the softgoods, and a friend graciously came over to help me out with his sewing machine. I ended up getting my own, and am learning some basic things with it. We will see how good I am when I start sewing my Tusken Raider together. Have fun, and enjoy the process. There are lots of great Scouts here that are always willing to help out.
